Default Yorkies and Laminate

I spent most of last week preparing my old floor and starting to install laminate in my livingroom and dining room. I'll spare you the gory details of Home Depot, special order flooring and why the job isn't yet complete ...

but, even with 3/4 of it down, I'm a little concerned about damage. Specifically, Ozzie dragging water -- in one form or another -- onto it, either when he gets a drink (wet beard) or happens to get one or more feet wet during a wizz session. Making sure that neither happens, or prompt action when it does, takes more vigilance than I have time for.

I was initially concerned about him sliding on it and laying on it (versus the comfort of carpet) but he has allayed fears on both counts over the weekend. He even seems to like hearing the clacking of his feet on it and has taken great joy in putting a nose print on each and every board as it goes down!

Anyone else fought or fighting the dampened floor battle?
