A dogs heat can vary from 1 week to longer. I don't have a recommendation on the breeding timeline however. I do agree with others to please make sure you are being a responsible breeder by checking your dogs pedigree (lines) for any health issues. I strongly feel that breeding should not be done unless it is to enhance the breed we love. Make sure your female is of good size and not too small, make sure you also know the pedigree of the male. Please, just make sure you do your research before you begin to breed your baby. Good Luck,
