Default something I did

My fletcher would shake like a leaf in a corner when I ran the dishwasher, so what I did for him is, I would run the dishwasher and sit on the kitchen floor in front of it. Well he cannot help but come to me when Im down at his level! So he would VERY tentatively get closer & closer to me. Finally he'd be on my lap right in front of the dishwasher. I would pet him and play with him and try to show him that it was not going to jump out of the cabinets and eat him alive or that it did not affect life in general for him. HAHA he still does not like the dishwasher but he no longer shakes like a mad man anymore.

Maybe if you bring her to the source of the noise and let her inspect it in the safety of your arms she'll realize it was nothing... you may have to keep doing this for a few weeks til she gets used to it.

Fletcher used to be afraid of trash bags, mine were always black ... and he finally got used to it, and I bought different ones and they were white and he freaked out again! haha Now hes used to the white ones!
