THis is my first time beign a mommy I'm still kind of young (24) but I need advice and I know you will all know here!! I heard that yorkies have glands that need to be cleaned in there butt?? Is this true?? If so how do you know when they need to be cleaned? I'm really confused. A few weeks ago mickey had a problem going to the bathroom and ever since his butt looks a bit different then the norm, for a while he was licking it but he hasn't as much. I did the hot compress on it to sooth him which helped alot, which I got that advice here. He is popping fine now but I am still worried. I don't get Mickey groomed I do it myself because he doesn't like people (I think he was abused as a puppy before I got him) and he would most likely bite them and I think its abuse to have them sit in a cage all day just my take on that. I can bring him to my vet and ask them to clean him I know he's due for a visit as he hasnt' gone since last July but I am very low on money so I want to make sure before I call them. So i wanted to ask you all here first!
