As for the biting, I think I've seen people suggest just a firm "no bite" each time he does it and replace your fingers with a chew toy each time. Consistency and firmness is important. We really didn't have much problem with chewing when Tatum was a baby but I think the little bit she did, we tried that method. This too shall pass, of course, but you should try to nip it in the bud quick.
