Just saw a very cool snippet of the Oprah show. Her vet (same vet as Martha Stewart's) says dogs would truly only eat 1-3% carbs in the wild and that we are giving our little carnivores WAY too many carbs.

He said the best diet you can give them is fresh raw meat, then cooked meat (then it goes on to premium canned etc. w/ dry food being last).

I could never understand it when people would say, "Oh, you should never give your dog table food."... years ago that's what they ate until the dog food manufactures got in on the act & started producing dog food. I can totally understand to not to give them the bad stuff as in hot dogs, & skin...but I will no longer feel guilty for giving my dogs " table food"..I buy ground chicken & turkey that's 98% fat free & some veggies, now I have to get the brown rice added in & will continue to feed them this .....
