Honey hated being brushed when we first got her - we tried all the suggestions of "introducing" the brush to her and making her feel "comfortable" around the brush - but she would have NONE of it! She has gotten better as she has gotten older, but I tell you the one thing that helped us the most is keeping her hair short in a puppy cut style!

I loved her hair when it was longer but it was such a pain for both us and her. Every time we would try to brush it, she would run away from us. Now, she (almost) seems to like it - she will at least put up with it for long enough for us to brush her decently. The shorter hair also helps with bathing and styling (she's never been a fan of all the hair bows and stuff) and we live in Florida so it keep her cooler as well!

That's my best advice!
