We had to pull up our carpet too. We put down Armstrong Wood Laminate. I took an end piece that they had cut off during installation and left submerged in water for about 12 hours, took it out and let it air dry. Absolutely no warping. We then put the piece in pure clorox for 24 hours and absolutely no discoloration!

So there are many brands out there, but remember that you get what you pay for. So don't buy something because the price is cheap. Do some homework, check prices and then you can probably find what you want on sale. We did our whole house, so we got a cut because of the quantity also. I think we paid around $3.78 a sq ft. A little costly for a whole house, but I'm real happy with it.

We ended up buying from a warehouse instead of Home Depot. And we got a better deal. We also paid to have it installed, as the 30 yr warranty was also covered. It would not have been covered if we had done it ourselves. So you might want to think about that too.

Anyway... I really, really love it! You should too. Be sure to send pics if you do!
