Autumn had the same issue. The vet adviced me to have her teeth taken care of at the same time as her spay so she was not subjected to being put under twice. He was also concerned because yorkies are prone to early teeth decay that this would just add to her chances. She was already getting food caught in between the teeth. She had 10 teeth pulled along w/her spay. She did great,came right home and ate hard food out of my other dogs food bowl.
