You guys are so lucky, if I take the e-collar off of Miko after he's had a surgery, he will pick at his stitches for at least the first week. So we have to keep it on. It scares me to death to leave it on him while we're gone if he has free reign of the house, so I just stayed home with him during his recovery period. If I have to leave, I put him in an area that I know he can't hurt himself.
