I think we all have such issues, esp with the socks. If I pick up Chloe and not Lacey first, she'll actually rip my pants trying to get up to me, the little stinker. You could try spraying water in the face. The problem is I can't find the bottle when one of mine disobeys. One thing that does help is training them to recognize NO by showing your palms outstretched to them as you say it. I use this when I don't want Chloe barking for table food and when I want to enphasize no means no, not maybe if you keep on I'll give in. Lacey is a little quieter for some reason, probably because she gets her way more, just kidding. Seriously, I do get better behavior when I stretch my arm out, hand outstretched with the palm to the dog, along with a lowered voice NO.
