When we decided to get a Yorkie puppy, we difinitely wanted a female. No particular reason, but we have had Pogo, a male dog for many years and thought it would be fun to have a female for a change. However, when we got to the breeder's house to pick up our female puppy, it was her little brother who let us know right away that HE was going home with us. He was the one who kept bounding over to us to pick him up. His tiny tongue worked overtime giving us kisses. How could we resist him? Today, Higgins is the light of our lives and very careful not to play favorites, though I think he totally worships his "Dad."
