Question

I have seen a no-bark collar that blows a puff of air in front of the dog. They have them at PetSmart.

We began at the start, told kids and friends - no barking, even though it is quiet and cute when they are little. Our dogs do not bark often. Bronx barks at birds, both bark at doorbell (even on tv, now). They occasionally bark at night when they hear something (usually the kids). We hollar out - BRONX! or ZOWIE! and they generally stop. If not, I get up to see what is going on.

We have a neighbor who got a dog recently. They fenced next to their house for the dog that never stops barking and is not allowed into the house. Today I noticed they refenced the back half of their yard to get their barker farther away from their house and closer to us. I wouldn't recommend de-barking, but de-dogging. I am not sure why they got this dog, but the only attention he gets is when he gets loose and they chase him down. Do the DESERVE this dog? Do the rest of us DESERVE to listen to this. Plus it took a week for Bronx to be able to go outside without running to the back of the yard to bark with him.
