Do what I do - just get the dog, bring it home and in no time the h is fine.... If I didn't do it that way, I wouldn't have ANY animals - including fish! Seriously! He says no to everything I want.. so I finally quit asking and started doing... now there is usually no problem - I get what I want, period.....!
