All I can tell you is we have have had cocker spaniels for 30+ yrs and finally I got my Yorkie for Christmas ... a surprise from my DH after we lost our male cocker last July and mush " NO we are NOT getting another dog ! " We have fallen madly in love with the breed so much that we now have 2 Yorkies ( brothers ) ....theyy get along with our female cocker and our 22 lb cat with no problems . They are so much fun to have around and they are very loveable ...and great lap dogs !
