 diarrhea every month for 9 months...
I got Tootsie 9 months ago from a pet shop, and she's now 11 months old. Ever since we got her she has had diarrhea like clock work every month. Her behavior changes, she gets more temperamental and agile and her poop is loose, sometimes mucousy and last month she had blood in her stool for the first time. We have taken her to the vet on numerous occasions and they said it was coccidia, then when it came back it was giardia, then when it came back they couldn't find anything....and they always gave me an antibiotic to treat it. The vet finally told me to change her food to an intestial food by Royal Canin which at first seemed to help, but yet again her diarrhea has come back.
I know something is wrong with my dog...I have taken her to three different vet's for second and third oppinions, but they all say they don't see anything in the fecal exam.
Has anyone had this problem? I am worried that my dog is going to die because we are not treating the problem...
