Oh - I'm sorry. I hope she's doing better today.
Our Lab of 15 years had seizures. It was hard each time he had one. We had him on phenobarbital as well. We noticed a major improvement in the amount and severity of the seizures when we moved from our home in Council Bluffs, IA to here in Las Vegas. Who would have thought? But he was outside "alot" in IA and everything was stimulation to him there. The houses and lot sizes are so much smaller here that he seemed to get less excited about the things going on outside - which in turn kept him calmer and less likely to have his seizures. Infact, I ended up just taking him off of his medicine. The Vet wasn't happy but I felt like I knew Lucky better than he did and I just felt like he was being doped up at that point. He probably only had 2 seizures a year after that so I was happy that I did it.
