I just have one more thought to add...some people are allergic to animals, even Yorkshire terriers.
Even a dog in a carrier could cause a serious reaction, in fact I would say a hidden dog is more of a danger than one out in the open that a person might be able to avoid.
If I go into a house, shop or even an outdoor area where a cat has been, I not only have allergies but asthma, I have had to be hospitalised at times.
I know people who are just as allergic/asthmatic around dogs.
I am not saying we banned all service dogs, however, it is unfair to say one handicap, condition or illness is more worthy of consideration than another.
Asthma can be immediately life threatening, to sneak a dog into a place where a person believes there are no dogs could make someone very ill. I ask respectfully that you all consider that before taking your dog into a place where they are not allowed. |
