I was given a quote of approximately $500 for Friday to be spayed. But everything here is SO expensive.

I just had her at the vet for CBC and cytology, ear plucking <????> cPL, and office visit -(thatz $49.50 straight off) - for a total of $288.00 and just paid 30$ for a fecal sample today ....

You are in a major city as well, so things are high. I was thinking of visiting a friend 4 hours north of here b/c i got a lower estimate ... but I can't justify the trip, the hotel and sticking around for a follow-up ... even if it does total $500....

High standard of living here ... OUCH!!!!
