Ridiculous to me. I waited this long because she is so small. 3 1/2 pounds, I thought I was doing her a favor (she hasn't gone into heat yet) by waiting until she can handle the medication better but this is crazy. I can tell you that I do not want to pay that if I don't have to. If anyone knows of a reputable vet in the Atlanta GA area, please let me know. I have no problems with Banfield doctors, but the prices......I've had enough.
This is expensive. I can understand charging a little extra because of her size but age has nothing to do with it. And the heart worm, is it for 6 months worth of meds for her or a heart worm test? Meds for 6 months can be expensive. If it's for the meds you can get them online next time and save big.

I would call around and do a drop by another office before I would pay that price. I think soooo many vets love to just take the $$ right out of your pocket.

My pups neuter, micro chip, 2 baby teeth extracted and follow up visit was $146. I understand spays are more but only additional $30.

Good Luck!
