I don't know of any Vet. that would have the nerve to charge that much. YOu don't need to get her a heartworm shot and age has nothing to do with the price. Please call your local shelter and ask where you can find a low cost spay neuter clinic, or maybe they will even do it for you and it's generally around 65 to 80 dollars tops. I'd be finding me another Vet. too.
