I've called out sick when my dog died 2 years ago.. took 2 days off ... my boss totally understood, but I was going through a really hard time in my life in general and the dog was the icing on the cake! (bad breakup, cancelling wedding, selling house and then 5month old yorkie pup just died in the middle of it all.. it was horrible)
Ive also taken a vacation day the day after I had my pup fixed! My vet does the surgerys every tues or thurs, no other day, so I had his done thurs, took off friday and had the weekend to watch over him!
