I know your situation is different, and I wish you the best!

Thanks!! I think it must be some kind of guy thing...I think he feels like big dogs are more macho *eyeroll*. But great news! He felt absolutely terrible, and we've been talking about it, and he said he realizes how important this is to me (and he knows I don't take pet ownership lightly) so he wants to buy me my yorkie when the time is right. He wants to come with me to see the babies, research breeders, etc.! I can hardly believe it, but that's the kind of guy he is sometimes. I posted this in another thread, but I'm glad we're doing it together because some yorkies can be SO expensive, and he doesn't know anything about the non-teacup rule or anything, so without me he'd be a little lost. I'm just so glad that things have resolved themselves. One of the reasons why I love this relationship is that no matter in the world is too big to work out with some talking. And trust me, we've been through a lot! We can always work things out. It seems to trivial to argue about a dog in my mind, but he was seeing something completely different (all the responsibilities and costs). Which is a good balance. I think I'm the dreamer and he's the more practical of the both of us. I need that sometimes I think. lol! I still think he needs some work on thinking that they're "RATS" but that all comes in due time I guess. He's not going to change his mind about them being rats overnight!
