(CBS) LOS ANGELES Two men pleaded not guilty Wednesday in Los Angeles to felony charges of stealing four purebred Yorkshire terriers at gunpoint during a home invasion robbery in March.

23-year-old Troy Cabral and 19-year-old Ryan Jason Betton surrendered last month after a videotape of the robbery aired on local television. Police later recovered the pups and one adult dog and reunited them with their owners.
Both men remain free on 100-thousand dollars bail that had already been posted on their behalf.
Prosecutors asked for a bail increase. But Superior Court Commissioner Catherine Pratt noted the bail posted was a "significant amount" and that the two young men have "significant community ties."
The two men, both from Los Angeles, allegedly posed as prospective buyers on February 23rd and made an appointment to see the puppies, on sale for 25-hundred dollars each.
When a family member opened the door, a robber pulled a gun and ordered the family of four to lie on the living room floor.
