Before I decided on a yorkie (I was sold just on the cute face, but I did my research anyway
) I looked at other breeds, big and small, and noticed that just about every breed that is AKC registered (at least here in CA) starts at a very high price. I think it is just the price of guaranteed quality that is so high. Although, some people pay top dollar for a sick puppy, and you've obviously found a wonderful poodle rescue to love for a good price. If you really want a yorkie, keep your eye out for them on the yorkie for sale or wanted forum...and I'm sure other members will help look out for you too
