I totally understand where you're coming from. Before I got Chloe, I was totally grossed out by dogs trying to lick me, sniffing my bottom, putting their cold, wet noses on me, and I could not understand people letting their dogs lick their faces and mouth.
Of course, now that I have Chloe, I don't mind her doing it. In fact, sometimes she has to "earn" a toy or treat by giving "mommy kiss." Mostly because her kisses aren't wet at all. It would totally gross me out if they were slobbery. But I don't want other people's dogs licking me.
What I really can't stand, is when you pet someone else's dog, and then you realize that dog is in DIRE need of a bath. You get a dirty, greasy hand after that. When that happens to me, there's my hand, all contaminated, held away from my body, no opportunity to go and wash it, with me silently thinking, "now, what am I supposed to do with this hand?" ...phoney, pained smile on my face...
