Wow! You obviously feel strongly about this. It's interesting that you have such disdain for a term that people use so lovingly and light-heartedly.
In today's society, many people do not have human children and enjoy "parenting" these beautiful little dogs. I know my Yorkies make my life complete. In fact, I know many people who specifically choose Yorkies for their personalities and "baby-ing" ability (so to speak
).
Too bad you can't see it in terms of the affection and zeal people have for their "babies" when they use it!
