I also agree...I feel that you can NEVER research enough.

Yes, I do have a strong opinion. I don't feel there is any select group with the reserved exclusive right to breed, but I DO feel like anyone who chooses to take it on should properly research all aspect of it first. IMO, there are FAR TOO MANY innstances that come of on this board alone of "I bred my dog, now what do I do?" and "I think I'm going to breed my 15 pound Yorkie because everyone thinks she'd have cute puppies" Maybe if someone had been upfront and honest with them to begin with, they would have second guessed their snap decision and researched further. As long as the replies are sugar coated and "Oh, learn from your mistake" "this could happen to anyone" I doubt anyone will be discouraged from follwoing in their footsteps.
And people wonder WHY they have dogs that don't resemble the breed they are being passed off as and why they have puppies with genetic based illnesses.
