I don't think that it is ok to leave them outside ever, they are not an outside dog. I have a golden and a lab that do stay outside but they are outside dogs, they are too big to be left in a house most of the time and a yorkie is too small to be kept outside. Hannah does go outside to play during the day if the weather is pretty, but she is never left outside.
