I'll try to answer your question. As breeders it is our responsibility to better the breed. We are to judge each pup that we bring into the world and decide whether or not their contribution to the gene pool would be of benefit to the breed. If the pup is not an excellent representation of the breed than they are not good breeding stock and should be spayed or neutered. Having the dogs fixed doesn't change their personality in my experience unless having a calming effect them is considered a bad change. I had a hysterectomy 19 years ago and it didn't change my personality. Having them fixed helps protect them from cancer and other tumors or infections. It also protects them from accidentlal breedings that could endanger their lives. It protects the breeders hard work, investment of time and money, and good name.
