There is a tool made for clamping and then you give a yank to get the hair out of the ear canal, but I haven't bought that one yet. The Vet. takes a wet Q-tip and wounds the hair around that and pulls it out. This doesn't need to be done unless your dog has a lot of hair in the ear. |
I have the hemostat for plucking the ear hair. There is also a powder to use to make it easier to grab them and it also dries out the inside of the ear. You're only supposed to pluck a very few at a time so it isn't so painful for the dog.
