Good luck! I'm ashamed to say I've temporarily forgotten the name of the YTer who came up with the idea of using work gloves, but she fastened them on with loose strips of velcro. She didn't even bother sewing the velcro to the bootie. She swore it worked just as well.
Don't give up! If you can get your dog to tolerate them, it totally opens up winter to exercise and walks.
