I'd love to see your picture. Yeah, this guy is definitely crazy. He gets a bunch of neighbors to help. I think they just build it like you'd build a normal snowman, from the bottom up. They do set up scaffolding to shape the upper portions. It's not a record or anything, just a big-ass snowman.
The first year he built it, the media went nuts. There was a Russian film crew doing a video of it. This is the second year, and now the neighbors are up in arms. They're tired of tourists clogging the street to see it.
And bettyeanne, I do believe you're right about the arm! And that appears to be his hat on the ground. Poor snowman.
