My girls are 13 and 7, our yorkie is 3 months old and weighs 2 pounds, they are good with her, me and my hubby tell them to always watch where they are walking(no shoes on in the house), and they can only hold her if they are sitting on the floor, we told them that if they drop her or step on her or be too rough it can really hurt her or worse, but sometimes Madison gets the best of them! lol, ( she likes to attack when you are laying in the floor)
If you feel that your kids are mature enough to have a small dog as a pet, then I think you would be ok, Yorkies are so loving and have alot of playfulness, what would we do without our little furkids?
