I'm not sure about Science Diet, but most of the premium foods recommend 1 cup of food total for a puppy. You might want to try giving him 1/4 cup at 4 meals a day if he continues to wolf down a large amount at once. Plus, you'll know he is eating well if he eats like this 4 times each day.
