Maybe it's just because it is early days at the moment - but the fact that some of you are happy to see me as a bad person for putting forth the opposite point of view about who should and who should not breed as quick as you do makes me wonder if this thread is just more interesting to you - rather than hope I know what I am doing with my hopefully pregnant bitch. I would have thought that if you are just looking out for the welfare of this breed of dog, my bitch included, you would enlighten others who are interested in the things that could help them, rather than just what you think about us.
I certainly do not HATE, and I think you may only have got this accross from my posts as we are speaking from different cultures. Your country is a large country, so that would explain why a lot of you agree with me that there are very good pet breeders around - and yes, we ALL hate the puppy farmers ! As for those of you who think it is hate I am speaking from, let me assure you that you are entirely misguided, and I think that is just because we come from different sides of the ocean and express things differently. I was brought up different from you, although half of my family, including my Mother were born at your side !
I only try to get accross to you who say there is your way and no other, that you are tarring everyone with the same brush.
Please post things like what you are going on about, like mentioning all the things which might help us....I for one would be very interested to hear from you about breeding problems, etc, as you may know something the books have not told me ! Scanning advice would be greatfully appreciated...how are we supposed to know whether scanning is helpful, harmful, etc. if no-one will tell us ? We do not meet up with other like-minded breeders at shows to learn info like some of you do, because some of us can't go, are too far away(like me) and might not agree that a Yorkie's place is in a hot show-ring for hours on end - just my opinion - please do not jump on me for that....I'm sure all of you who do it get something out of it, it's just not for me.
Are we bad breeders for not showing and therefore getting the info that way, I think not - we don't show for many reasons, but as you, still want the best for our Yorkies.
Thanks for your comments Lorraine, and NO I certainly don't mean HATE or anything like it.
All the best to all of you who love the Yorkie as much as I do, no matter what your opinion on things are !
From the LEARNER poster who means no harm...... Debra x x x x
Forgot to address this. In my humble opinion, there are so many breeders, show-breeders and exhibitors on here that are willing to help answer questions.

For one, you have to earn it. You can't come here with claws out like a cat and ready to roll up the sleeve and give anyone a battle. People are not going to be very happy and are not going to help you.

You need to be humble and appreciative of the answers/suggestions you get. You DON'T have to agree with everything but you do have to learn to move on or ignore posts.

I have seen many of these 'rude people' that you claim.........give you excellent advice and you seem to jump to conclusions and basically attack them and then on top of that label ALL Yters or ALL show people as "snobs" and unwilling to help.

Wouldn't you agree that it's a little unfair for you to do that? I mean, how would you feel?

It is way to easy to just throw your hands up in the air and say...........well, you are all this and that, all the show breeders are this and that, etc.

You need to learn to control your emotions/anger. Yes, this is the internet and yes, there are many cultures in America.........I still do not understand why it would be any different in Europe.

I am just posting my observations as a reader. I am not a breeder, nor I show. I am a frequent poster on here and from this experience can add my 2 cents

Good luck and if you ever need to talk or a friend to chit chat with........I would love to talk with you. You can Private Message me and I will send you my email address.

Jess
