howie is the same way. he pees on his pad, but will not poo on it. he usually poos in the same spot all the time -- the mat right in front of the front door. people have suggested putting a pee pad there so he can associate it the pee pad with it, but he ended up just peeing on it instead. so, i took the pee pad away because i did'nt want to confuse him with another pad lying around. i've washed the rug many times with nature's miracle, so i'm pretty sure the scent is not there, but i just can't understand why. and like the previous post...if i move him to the pad while he begins to poo, he'll get startled and will not want to poo.
