Hi everyone! I have to admit I do not have a yorkie, I have a shih tzu poodle mix who is 15 weeks old today but she is about the same size as a yorkie- 3lbs currently-so the questions on this board help me a lot more than other general forums. She is my first puppy so reading all the advice here is very helpful. I am pee pad training her and she is doing really well with peeing but refuses to poop on it! We are catching her when she starts pooping and putting her on the pad, then giving her a treat when she finishes. Any other suggestions, I'm afraid she will never learn! Is she still just too young? I just ordered the larger size pads with a holder so I am going to try that.
PS- I am pee pad training her bc I live in a 4th floor loft and there is no way I can get her out enough. Does anyone else continue to use pee pads with their adult dogs? Thanks!
