That is very sad. I've heard of an out-of-state vet saying it was okay to breed them 5 times straight and then retiring them. I also know of someone here in town that (last I spoke to her) she had bred her girl 4 times in a row.

She'd say she was going to rest her girl...then, "OOPS! Well, they bred, what can I say!" Well, I said a whole lot...like it did any good. IMO, it's cruel to let a bitch breed that many times in a row.
