thank you all for the replies... it is an emotional time that is for sure.
I had the vet do the tails, I didn't want to do them at all- hopefully someday this country will change the "breed standard" he left a third... but if the person who was purchasing the pup and wanted the tail left on, then I would leave it alone.. only because I feel it is an unnecessary procedure(this is just my opinion... and I don't believe for a second that they don't feel the pain, because I heard them cry)
the dew claws, that is more of a safety issue, I had one with 4 dew claws, poor thing had to have a stitch.
I am excited for the day we get past this stage... there is just too much to worry about.
