Talking Its a lifestyle, not a quick fix

You have got to remember that a diet is how you eat, not what you do to lose weight. You should have a healthy diet everyday. This is a way of life. If you learn how to eat healthy, you will drop to your right weight and stay there. Remember the food pyramid when you were 8 years old in middle school? You cannot eat better than that! Follow that, correct portion sizes, you do not need and should not ever cut any food group out of your diet. This just causes you to gain weight faster when you get off your 'diet'.

Weight watchers is excellent! They work on your emotional eating and how you mentally perceive food. They encourage exercising and they do not cut out any food group at all. The meetings HELP sooo much and you get many many great ideas from others.

I need to lose 15lbs. I was at a fine weight, but I started dating a guy who took me out to eat all the time , since my weight was not a problem I didnt think about what I ordered, soon I found the scale went up about 15lbs last year! YUCK!!! soo I decided to join weight watchers through my work so that I am accountable for my eating to others. Its GREAT!!! Ive lost 1lb a week for the last 4 weeks. slow & steady.

Concentrating on losing weight is hard! Depriving yourself is a big NO-NO, not even to jump start it! Just keep in mind that you are embarking on a journey and creating a new way of life for yourself, a healthy way of life! You want this weight to stay off for good, so you must create a balance in your wants with your needs.

GOOD LUCK!!! I think its awesome that you are taking the iniative to do this!
