 This is what I'm doing
and it's working just fine, sometimes he has accidents but 85% it's working fine.
Since he doesn't want to go outside and do his business (sometimes he does), so I got a piece of carpet to reflect the color in my apartment, left the piece of carpet on the hallway and he's been using that ever since. Also he uses his pee pad. It's a work in progress though but so far it has helped a lot. Just an idea for those that want to try something different.
