Question For anyone that uses belly bands please

We have just fairly recently started using the bands and while I might say that it has made life so much more pleasant for both Teddy and the rest of the house I do have a few questions for those of you that have used them for a while.

When we get up in the morning Teddy goes outside until he pees and poos. As soon as he comes in he gets on his "pants" and goes to eat. I set the timer on the stove for 30 minute intervals all day so he is out every 30 minutes. Sometimes if he is asleep or something I will put it off until he wakes up but for the most part I am pretty on top of tht 30 minute thing all day. He gets a treat each time he does something outside and as soon as he comes in he gets his pants back on.

BUT

No matter how often he goes out he pees in those pants EVERY time. I know he is able to hold it as he hold it all night and for hours when we are out somewhere. So what gives????

Does anyone elses baby do this and does anyone have any suggestions as to how to break it?

I love using them as it gives him freedom in the house and me peace of mind. I love that I don't have to get angry and he doesn't have to be confined but in a perfect worls I would much prefer that this just be a steeping stone to better things and that he won't have to live in these things the rest of his life. I refuse to let a potty issue ruin my babies chances for a happy home so if he has to live in them forever he will but if you can help us work out of them I would greatly appreciate it!

Also, I must obviously be using the wrong pads in them as they leak onto the band quite often. All suggestions there are welcome as well!

Thanks,
Kim and Teddy!
