From experience, Kennel cough is not something to mess around with. When I got Reese she had it, she finished the Clavamox they had her on and the vet told me that most times the dogs have to work it out of their system. Needless to say, 4 weeks and $800 later I had her at the emergency vet with pneumonia. I researched it and I think the main thing is to keep them on meds until it clears up. Clavamox is like giving them water, so make sure its a different med. My parents had a schnauzer who had it for months, with different meds and it finally went away. I think with the little ones you have to be extra careful!!! Hope this helps...good luck! |
