I would suggest installing a doggie door and fencing in the back yard, or at least a small area of it.
I don't believe it is ever impossible, in fact older ones might actually learn quicker. I would just not allow them the run of the house even when I'm home. In fact with the weather getting nicer i would encourage more time outside. |
