I think your best bet is to check with your vet regarding your concerns about over-supplementation. My Gracie has dry skin and the vet suggested Fish Oil. I take the fish oil liqui gels myself so my vet said I could poke the end of one and give half a gel to Gracie with her food once a day. I stir it into her food and it really smells of fish, but between meals she does not smell like fish at all. Remember, fish oil is still oil, fat. Too much could lead to health problems.
