I'm not sure where anyone got their info about the parti color no longer being registered by the AKC. I'd like to know where that information came from.
For the original poster. buying any purebred dog is risky, buying a dog as popular as the yorkie is 10 times riskier. there are pople out there mass producing all sorts of dogs and calling them yorkies.
My advice is to buy from a reputable breeder and you won't get taken. don't buy from any breeder unless you can get other peoples opinions on them. There are some very reputalbe breeders of the parti and standard colored yorkies, in Bonzall Ca.
