Where did you get your information that AKC parti's are "no longer going to be recognized by AKC"? AKC has been registering Parti Yorkies for the last 4 years, prior to that time (and prior to some extensive DNA testing on 42 litters of parti colored pups), they were denied registration.
Parti Yorkies are registered by AKC, but since their color is not the breed standard (only blue and gold and blue and tan is the standard) Parti's will not be able to show in some AKC events.
