Don't know for sure yet how long it will be. The insurance adjuster isn't looking at it until Monday (I hope) and then the body shop can start on it. My Dad is actually here this weekend & is taking back "home" so that someone we know that has a body shop can do it. That way we know it's someone that cares & will try to get it done as quick as they can.
As for rentals, some companies do have a car or two that have hand controls in them but they are a different kind than what I have and it is completely opposite of what I've got. So it would be like someone trying to drive a car where the gas & brake had been switched. It's just too scary & I'm afraid I'd get confused. There's just too much traffic around here to try something like that. I'm going to call the company that modifies my car for me on Monday and see if by chance they have something like mine.
