In my opinion, there is no way to get pee smell out of carpets, no matter what you use. It soaks through to the pad and there is no way to clean the pad and get the cleaner and the smell out of the pad. My recommendation is to rip out the carpet and put in tile, laminate, or wood. If you do a search on this site, you will see that is what a lot of us have done.

I have two little Yorkie boys, one NEVER goes in the house, the other one marks. Thankfully, we put down wood before we even got them and I can't imagine what would have happened if we had still had carpet!!!

Well I know what would have happened, we would be ripping out carpet by now!

I know it sounds radical and I know it is expensive but life with wood/tile/laminate/concrete (some of our floors are stained concrete) floors is just so easier than worrying about sprinkles on the floor.
